Ingredients
125 ml apple cider vinegar
2 T brown sugar
½ t ground cloves
400 g (about 2) beetroot, scrubbed, peeled & coarsely grated
1 apple, coarsley grated

Combine vinegar, sugar and cloves in a pan and heat until boiling. Stir to dissolve the sugar and then add the beetroot and apple and a little bit of salt. Cook for a few minutes until tender.
